Daily Post

WE just renewed our WordPress for the tenth year. We like the site in order for us to write our daily thoughts. We have been amiss lately. Retirement has kept us busy. We are in the process of publishing our new book “Spanish Marauders.” the book is something different that I have written in the past, but we believe it will be enjoyable to some at least. This book is on the dark side of life and has lots of violence, a little sex, romance and is a thriller. We wrote the book for the adult audience from the age of 20 and beyond. We will have more verbiage on the book in the following months. We are trying for a book release before Christmas 2021.

Political Information and beliefs

So everyone knows, my political  views and belief are “independent “ and not necessarily for any party.  I have voted both republican and Democratic.  Probably I have voted republican more than democratic.

You decide but I believe the following identifies the dots on how , what, where, why and how Trump ran for the presidency and explains most of his unusual actions.

_______________________________

In case you haven’t connected the news dots… Putin controls the largest oil company in Russia. He made a 500 Billion dollar deal with the CEO of Exxon Mobil. Obama put sanctions in place which stopped that deal. Russia then hacked into our government in order to get Trump elected. When the CIA told Congress this in September (James Comey was also in that meeting), Mitch McConnell refused to tell the American people, blackmailing Obama saying he would frame it as playing partisan politics during the election. Comey released the infamous no-information letter. Mitch McConnell’s wife was picked for Trump’s cabinet. Wonder why our President has been so quick to dismiss the CIA’s findings?………Here are some facts : Decide for yourselves 1) Trump owes Blackstone/ Bayrock group a reported $100 million to $560 million dollars (one of his largest debtors and the primary reason he won’t reveal his tax returns)
2) Blackstone is owned wholly by Russian billionaires, who owe their position to Putin and have made billions from their work with the Russian government.
3) Other companies that have borrowed from Blackstone have claimed that owing money to them is like owing to the Russian mob and while you owe them, they own you for many favors.
4) The Russian economy is badly faltering under the weight of its over-dependence on raw materials which as you know have plummeted in the last 2 years leaving the Russian economy scrambling to pay its debts.
5) Russia has an impetus to influence our election to ensure the per barrel oil prices are above $65 ( they are currently hovering around $50)
6) Russia can’t affordably get at 80% of its oil reserves and reduce its per barrel cost to compete with America at $45 or Saudi Arabia at $39. With Iranian sanctions being lifted Russia will find another inexpensive competitor increasing production and pushing Russia further down the list of suppliers.
As for Iranian sanctions, the 6 countries lifting them allowing Iran to collect on the billions it is owed for pumping oil but not being paid for it. These billions Iran can only get if the Iranian nuclear deal is signed. Trump spoke of ending the deals which would cause oil sales sanctions to be reimposed, which would make Russian oil more competitive.
7) Rex Tillerson (Trump’s ex Secretary of State) was the head of ExxonMobil, which is in possession of patented technology that could help Putin extract 45% more oil at a significant cost savings to Russia, helping Putin put money in the Russian coffers to help reconstitute its military and finally afford to mass produce the new and improved systems that it had invented before the Russian economy had slowed so much.
😎 Putin cannot get access to these new cost saving technologies OR outside oil field development money, due to US sanctions on Russia, because of its involvement in Ukrainian civil war.
9) Look for Trump to end sanctions on Russia and to back out of the Iranian nuclear deal, to help Russia rebuild its economy, strengthen Putin and make Tillerson and Trump even richer, thus allowing Trump to satisfy his creditors at Blackstone.
10) With Trump’s fabricated hatred of NATO and the U.N., the Russian military reconstituted, the threat to the Baltic states is real. Russia retaking their access to the Baltic Sea from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and threatening the shipping of millions of cubic feet of natural gas to lower Europe from Scandinavia, allowing Russia to make a good case for its oil and gas being piped into eastern Europe.

Concerned Veteran.

Russia’s state-run media channel Russia 24 wants everyone to know that President Donald Trump belongs to Moscow.

Responding to reports that Trump told world leaders at the G-7 meeting in Canada last week that Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula is Russian because everyone there speaks Russian, the hosts of the Russian version of 60 Minutes victoriously declared that “Crimea is ours, Trump is ours.”

Reported on June 15 2018.

Gun Control

Gun Control
Let me put my views out there for the masses to dispute. First, let me say I am a person who enjoys hunting deer, turkey, etc. I have owned a gun before in my life time, (a 235 deer rifle, which was stolen). For years now I think about my rifle being used for some type of illegal act and I would be responsible. That never has happened.
Gun Control is a difficult issue which we must find some solution to. I believe in the constitution, we have a right to bear harms and defend ourselves, BUT, do we really have the right or need to have assault rifles or huge large and powerful offensive weapons. How many deer has been killed with a AK 47? How many times have people defended themselves by using an AK 47 instead of a pistol or rifle?
I am in favor of gun control and believe we need to enact gun control measures immediately as well as enforce the gun laws we have now. If it was your loved one that is gunned down, you probably would want additional gun control laws enacted.
We never want to be negative about any issues unless we can offer a positive solution or part of a solution. My positive solution would be to make any seller of a gun liable if the owner/buyer of the gun used the gun for illicit measures. Not only high profile school shootings but shooting for arguments between individuals, domestic arguments and anything illegal. This would include if the owner/buyer robbed banks or other individuals, the seller could be could have charges pressed against them and be financially liable in some type of measures.
This ideal may be harsh but I believe it will take harsh measures in order to find some sense of order and comfortable, hazard free living among the masses. WE are becoming a society of Wild West mentally and it is destroying the USA.
This issue has been debated for a very long time. My Mother would not allow guns in her house due to a distant relative being shot and killed with a Beebe gun. It was accidental, but the relative is just as dead. Dad owned a gun but it was never allowed in the house and was used only for hunting or killing intruders into our house, like possum’s, raccoons, snakes etc. There were six ornery siblings in the house so we did not have many intruders.
Everyone will not agree with me and I am not trying to convert the haters of the ideal, but please agree with me that something must be done NOW to stop this. If it is not gun control then please give positive suggestions of how we stop this senseless killing.

New Books being published

We are publishing three new books, which we know will be enjoyed by many.  These books are all fiction but based on my adventures in the past.  The books are:

  1.  Exit Iraq – this is a reprint of book 1 in “Iraq-Heroes and More”.
  2. Tyrants of Tikrit – This is a reprint of book 2 in “Iraq-Heroes and More”.

3.  Spanish Marauders – This is a new book based on crime and the mafia in Europe.   This is all fictional and very interanational.  The main characters come from Spain, Russia, Morrocco, Sierre Leon and Bahrain.  They all converge on Spain.

We are real excited about the new books and delighted with the enjoyment we hope readers get from reading these novels.  The books will be published sometime between now and February 2016.

Hope you enjoy!

Wife and Life

My Wife
In the western world society honors our wives and I should not be amidst to do the same.
Our marriage was a result of each of us wanting a partner in life, children, and a change in our lives.
Our marriage started almost equal to the Eastern world when parents fine a spouse for their children. Our parents did not choose each of us, but in the same light, we did not know each other. Of course, does any couple really know each other?

I think not. You really do not know a person until you wake up with each other; stay up all night with a child that has a fever, stomachache or some other illness.  The trials in our lives make us better and our bond grew deeper.

My wife is intelligent enough to know that I had a passion for discovery and working in different lands, learning about other cultures and customs.  My passion had to be fulfilled in whatever why possible.

We took off on our adventure of and for life together.  Learning as we go, making many mistakes, but mistakes that taught us life and filled us with hope, respect and love for one another no matter what adversity we may have fallen upon.

Of course, we had some down turns in life along the way, but we concentrated on the good and bright side of life, which was to numerous to write down or even remember.   Our lives took us to most countries in the Middle East and in Europe.  A life lesson was of the number of different cultures in the world and most of them are good.  They are different from what we know but that is what made them exciting to learn and experience.  The differences in life and people makes us all stronger and really binds us together.

The first trip away from our homeland, my wife was looking for the same as what she left, i.e. McDonalds, K-Mart, etc.  Once we realized that what we found in other lands were just as good or better in some cases as what we were use too.

From the point of wanting to learn and explore new lands and culture, neither my wife or I could stay put for to long.  We had to see the lands of God’s world and all of the creations He has made.

Life as well as my wife was and is fantastic.  Giving me enough to challenge me in my thinking, but hard enough to keep me humble in life.

What Should Happen?

I continue to work on my second book.  The story has been developed and the plot finished, at least in my mind.  My question now is should the participants of the story come to their demise or should they just fade away into the rest of their lives.

This is an action packed novel, but is it necessary to conclude the lives of each person in the story.  I guess this will be decided in the re-write or re-re-re-re-write of the novel.  Any ideas, please let me know.  I do value your opinions.

Do we ‘Need’ Agents?

This is a discussion that I have wanted to get involved with for a long time. While I was writing my first book, ‘Iraq-Heroes and More’, I was trying to find an agent to represent me. Being an unknown writer, it was extremely difficult to even find an agent willing to review my work. Lucky for me, my skin is pretty thick, because I sent out hundreds of request for agencies to represent me and received hundreds of ‘rejection’ emails, or no response at all.

My thinking on the subject wasn’t that the rejection letters were rejecting my work, due to the quality of the writing, but to the time elements or preceived saleablity of the work by the agent. As I understand the agents thinking, they are in business to sell work, I wanted to get my work out to the public for many reasons, pride of the work and financial were just some of the reasons. I am not suggesting that my reasoning for wanting to publish the book was the best reasoning, but it was mine.

Being 60 + years, I did not have enough time in my life to see the work publish, if I waited for “agents” to deem the work worthy of their time and efforts. As well, my style of writing is basic and I speak to the people. The work may not be a masterpiece, even though I do have a review suggesting ‘Iraq – Heroes and More’ may be a masterpiece. The work is worthy for publication and will be enjoyed by a wide variety of real people, wanting to read for enjoyment and wanting to read a good story.

I am not suggesting we do not need Agents or speaking of the value of agents, but in today’s world and the internet there are so many ways to get your work out to the public and to target your work to individuals who want to read your work, whether it is a poem, short story or just a quote. I find this an exciting and vibrant time for writers and finding readers for your work.
